WHITEPOT PORCELAIN DINNERWARE

In the early 1970s Grethe Meyer designed the por- celain dinnerware Whitepot for Royal Copenhagen. Purely white without any kind of decoration, all Whitepot components were stackable. Intended at first for the more elegant restaurants, its clean lines and multifunctionality also resonated with a new generation of design-conscious consumers.

Grete Meyer was awarded the Nordic Prize for Design & Crafts for Whitepot in 1973.

The dinnerware was produced by Royal Copen- hagen from 1972-2011 and later relaunched by Coop Denmark, who manufactures and markets Whitepot today.
