STUB & STAMME DRINKING
GLASSES IN COLLABORATION
WITH IBI TRIER MØRCH
In 1958 Grethe Meyer designed the cylindrical shaped glass series Stub & Stamme (literally Stump & Trunk) for Kastrup Glasswork with her colleague Ibi Trier Mørch. While rooted in tradition, these mouth blown and handmade stackable drinking glasses and bowls with their short stems and sleek appeal clearly signalled modernity.
Stub & Stamme came in a clear and a smoked version and remained in production at Kastrup Glasswork and later Holmegaard
Glasswork until 1995.
